Here’s what I’ve loved in knitting this week…

Amy
’s Heirloom quilt cardigan is so beautiful. I love how a gift of 100% wool tapestry yarn turned out to be the perfect option for this stunning project.

And…

Knitwear designer and author

Brandi Cheyenne Harper
’s journey of how she got to where she is today was a fascinating read, especially the insights on how different industries value the work she does.

And now… onwards to your weekly What To Knit Next issue!

👀 Last week’s top knitting inspiration: Terrific texture in a tee.

This week’s knitting ideas you can't miss…

Husked chopped mowed.

Fatimah Hinds describes the naming of her shawl design:

“An homage to Sojourner Truth. In that spirit, the title is a line from her famous speech given at the Woman’s Rights Convention in Akron, Ohio on May 29, 1851.”

A gorgeous fat cable runs down the center of her shawl with sections of stockinette, mesh and lots of eyelets. It’s gorgeous!

Stripes & ribbons.

A gorgeous shawl created with different stripes of color and eyelets for ribbons to be added later and a gorgeous picot edge.

Jennifer Edwards' Knitterly Arts
design is such fun and will add a little pizazz to your wardrobe.

Shawl collar sensation.

A super warm and chunky jacket which includes a cozy and thick shawl collar.

It uses

Brandi Cheyenne Harper
’s favorite method for construction: two pieces, knit and joined at the center back seam.

Chunky poncho sweater.

Knit flat with only knit and purl stitches, this is a quick project using chunky yarn. It’d be a wonderful layer piece and you’d feel so snug and warm.
