Here’s what I’ve loved in knitting this week…

Kavitha
discusses fibers which work well in summer garments. Some of you might be surprised that wool blends are among the suggestions! Find out why…

And

Sandi Rosner
’s exploration of what you knit vs what you actually wear is excellent. Her ways for dealing with the knitted items in her closet, that don’t get to see the light of day are super helpful.

The perspectives shared in the comments are well worth reading too.

And now… onwards to your weekly What To Knit Next issue!

👀 Last week’s top knitting inspiration: Sage Plains Pullover.

This week’s knitting ideas you can't miss…

Fantastical creature socks.

A new design by

Jocelyn Peters
is inspired by a book series The Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Her socks pay homage to three creatures from the trillogy of books ‘All Souls Trinity’ by Deborah Harkness.

You can read more about how she created the design here. Such fun!

Terrific texture in a tee.

Isonoe is a textured summer tee worked from the bottom up. The design features vertical panels using knit, purl, twisted and slipped stitches.

The relaxed drop shoulder, achieved with short row shaping in garter stitch, makes it an easy to wear piece. Plenty of interesting techniques to explore!

Desert elements.

A design including gorgeous elements of the desert like cacti and the geometric shapes of a rattlesnake’s tail. An interesting exploration of how nature and her creatures can create a beautiful colorwork sweater.

Reversible coziness.

A thick and cozy reversible scarf to wear again and again. A unisex design that’s quick to knit up using medium weight yarn and US 8 (5mm) needles.

A man wears a ribbed knitted scarf, The Mountaineer Scarf. This gray knit mens scarf is a fashion scarf great for fall and winter. [knitted scarves, men knit scarf, rib scarf knitting pattern, beginner scarf knit patterns, beginner knit pattern]
