Here’s what I’ve loved in knitting this week…
Get the right fit every time, all the texture you could want in a cowl, a knitted stone masonry look, light up your life while looking stylish, and…
Discover a project made for the dinosaur lovers.
See what makes up the sweetest honeycomb, try your hand at beaded cabling, delight in the beautiful moon, and find these sensational geometric motifs.
Knit these up fast, add delight (and some companions) to your tea-drinking, and find a super-stylish way to tote around your latest read.
Improve your sock stripes by a long shot, and fancy a pizza… but knitted? You’ll never run out of color choices with this yarn, and the way to create great colorwork floats is… by yoinking them!
Pair that tutorial with one on how to catch floats, and your fiddly colorwork problems should solve themselves. Be inspired by a beautiful yarn installation celebrating Black women’s hair.
Be tempted by the beauty of teal, finally get over your hesitation to practice steeking with this great tutorial, and an ingenious mending method.
Make it miniature in a way you didn’t think was possible, plus, get a complete guide to unlocking the skill of slip stitch colorwork.
And now… onwards to your weekly What To Knit Next issue!

This week’s knitting ideas you can't miss…
Your new go-to customizable sock.
Jeanette’s socks are excellent for getting the right fit for every foot! This is the design you’ll use time and time again.
Following the theme of complete customization, you can use any yarn and matching needle size you choose (though she recommends sock weight.)
Terrific texture.
Knitting a design with texture is such fun, and the different stitches keep your mind interested. This cowl will keep you warm and it looks gorgeous too.
Gavriella used two skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted weight (80% Acrylic, 20% Wool) with size US 10 (6.0mm) needles.
Where knitting becomes carved stone.
This cropped cardigan is inspired by the stonemason’s exquisite work on the Lichfield Cathedral. It’s a superb design sure to turn heads!
She used West Yorkshire Spinners Pure DK (check the sizing for how many balls you’ll need) with size US 6 (4mm) circular needles (100cm long.)
Light up your life.
I adore berets. This design’s octagonal shape is lovely. Denise Baron includes helpful video tutorials in her instructions for the more difficult aspects.
She used size US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles (32”/81cm long) for the Magic Loop.
